Armament: Cannons Only
You have no wingmen. These aviators can shoot down MiGs for you.
You have no SAM systems. These shoot down MiGs three times as fast as a Wingman.
You have no Miggies. You can buy some to attract MiGs and double your units' efficiency.
You have no MiGs. Breed some to get started!
Your MiGs are bored. Buy a toy to increase their breeding efficiency!
You cannot Slaughter these MiGs yet.
You have 0 MiG souls.
The Flanker is a bit of a special case. It'll increase your MiGs' breeding rates, but for every session, it takes a few hundred MiG souls. It's not the kind of aircraft you let your kids talk to, that's for sure.
"Hey there. Looking for a little extra MiG magic? Let me work my charms on these poor little souls and you'll have more MiGs than you can handle. Just give me the word and I'll make it worth your while."
The Nighthawk is an edgy one. It ensures your wingmen can fly SAM-free and splash more MiGs in the wild... at the cost of disabling your own SAM sites as well. It likes to think it's cool and edgy. Just don't remind it about that incident with the serbs.
"My sleek, angular frame is shrouded in the darkest of cloaks, a shadow in the night that strikes fear into the hearts of all who behold me. I am the hunter, the predator, the bringer of death, and I take pleasure in the terror that I instill in those who oppose me."
Huey is able to go deep into the jungle to harvest more MiG parts from the MiGs you and your wingmen splash. It's a bit off its rocker, to be honest. If Flanker is the kind of aircraft you don't let your kids talk to, Huey's the kind of aircraft who you don't let them look at.
"I love the smell of Napalm in the morning, but you know what I love more? Watching those MiGs get what's coming to them. Before I salvage the wreckage, I enjoy taking a nice long look at what used to be a MiG who thought he could brave our air defenses. Little commie didn't even know what hit him."
Herc has always been more of a lover, not a fighter. It's not going to be slaying any hydras anytime soon. Its name comes from its heavy lift capability, not its fighting spirit. Herc will bring you 4 extra wingmen, miggies, or SAM systems for every one you purchase.
"I always feel sorry for those poor MiGs, but I can't bring myself to let down my crew, so I airlift anyway."
Tomcat is not some sort of maverick. It thinks it's still hot stuff when the craze over it died out in the 1990's and its last splash was in Iranian service against a poorly maintained Iraqi MiG. Don't tell it that, though. Triples wingman splash rates without affecting SAM sites.
"What's up? I'm still phat. All that and a bag of chips."
